Privacy policy

Effective October 24, 2026

This policy explains what information family-coordinator.com (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect when you sign in with Google

We only offer sign-in with Google. When you sign in, Google shares with us:

We do not receive your Google password, and we do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files or anything else in your Google account.

What we record ourselves

Why we use it

We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies and tracking

When you sign in, we use one cookie to keep you signed in. It is deleted when you sign out or after 8 hours of inactivity.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the site are useful. It sets its own cookies and tells Google, roughly, where you are and what kind of device you use.

You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings or Google’s opt-out add-on.

Our own server also keeps a log of page visits — the page, the time, the account, the IP address and the browser — for security and to fix problems. It is never shared, and entries are deleted after 30 days.

We do not use advertising or other tracking tools.

Court documents and the AI Interpretation

Parents may send in court orders and parenting agreements so that we can turn them into a plain-English version of their parenting plan, the “AI Interpretation”. To do this, the documents are read by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. While the service is in beta, the site operator does this in a working session with Claude, and the documents are copied briefly to the operator’s computer and deleted afterward. Court documents are stored with your account, can be seen only by the parents on it, and are never used for anything else. Every item of the AI Interpretation must be agreed to by both parents before it counts as agreed.

Who else handles your information

We may also disclose information if required by law, such as by a court order.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

We keep beta sign-up information until you ask us to remove it or we no longer need it. Account information is kept while the account is open. Sign-in records are kept as security records.

Your choices

Children

Accounts for anyone under 18 are created only at the request of a parent or guardian who holds an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to information is limited to the people it belongs to.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell people who have accounts or have opted in.
